IABS POLICY AND GUIDELINES FOR COURSE STUDY

  • Director, Roger L. Leonard (RLL), and Assistant Director, Mike Hixson (MH) select and approve all students.

  • Each prospective student must submit an application for review. Upon acceptance, a student will be registered. (A student is not automatically enrolled by simply applying.)

  • RLL and MH reserve the right to accept or reject any student applications.

  • MH, RLL, or both may schedule a ZOOM meeting with each prospective student who applies. There will be additional ZOOM meetings when necessary.

    There are currently two courses available for study: CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE, taught by MH, and CHURCH LEADERSHIP, taught by RLL.

    • Males and females may enroll in the Christian Doctrine course.

    • Upon acceptance, students may choose which course or courses they wish to study.

    • Each student will receive a list of the lessons for each course of study.

    • Each enrolled student will receive a syllabus for each course of study.

    • Students must request any lessons they need by email as they proceed through the courses. We have many students and they are at different levels in their studies.

    • Male Christians only may study the Church Leadership Course.


    Course Guidelines:

    • Students must follow the Course Guidelines for any course they choose to pursue.

    • The courses are only for students who are registered with the school.

    • The courses and lessons are free of any cost to the students.

    • The lessons are sent by email in PDF format.

    • The lessons will only be sent to registered students.

      • EXAMS:

        • After every 4 lessons, regardless of the course of study, each student will receive an exam by email. (However, instructors may alter the four-week schedule. Students will be notified of any changes.)

        • Students must complete and submit the exam for their course to the respective instructor.

        • Students must have a proctor (witness) present during the exams. The proctor may be a Christian man or woman, and must sign and date the exam.

        • In some cases, the instructor may require a ZOOM meeting for exams, otherwise the student will be on the honor system.

        • Questions will come from the written material.

        • The instructors will set the timetable for study and exams, according to the individual situation of each student.

        • The instructor will grade each exam and return the graded exam to the student by email.

        • There is a schedule, but efforts are made to work with each student according to their circumstances. •

      • Registered students who recruit and teach other students are fully responsible for those students. This includes any printing of materials for their students.

      • Students must communicate with their respective instructor(s) by email only.

      • Any failure to comply with the guidelines may result in being dropped from any course the student is enrolled in. If a student is dropped, a discussion with the respective instructor(s) will be necessary for re-admittance.

      • A certificate of completion will be issued to each student who completes their course of study. (The school does not grant college-level degrees at this time.)

    • IABS does not financially support preachers or students, raise support for preachers or students, assist with campaigns, offer benevolence help, finance church meeting facilities, etc. The purpose of the school is to teach.

    • Bible studies taught for women by faithful Christian women are available online through the IABS YouTube channel. There are no requirements for women’s studies at this time. There is currently no printed material available for women.
